I got a shot from the dentist the other day and it still hurts. How long does the pain last? Is this normal? I don’t remember this much pain.

I got 3 yesterday, and I have been wondering the same thing. My mouth/jaw is still so sore.. :( You don’t mention how many days it’s been since you went to the dentist, but my best advice if for you to call their office and mention that you’re still in pain and see what they say.
    Hope you feel better soon.

It CAN last for a few days, unfortunately… Those shots are the things I **** MOST about going to the Dentist (-followed closely by the Painful size of the BILL…). :( You should feel better- by the Weekend…

You could be sore for a day or two from the shot, depending on where you got it. Don’t worry it will go away soon. Mean while take some motrin.

Sometimes it makes the tissue in your mouth sore. It wont last too long, maybe a week. Call the dental office and ask them for advice about the pain. They might want to look at the injection site or they will advise you to use a mouthwash. I would go buy cologate brand sore mouthwash. It helps make your sore mouth feel better.
