   Simple Solution or Nature’s Miracle. Both available at all pet supply stores and on-line.

   These products remove the protein enzymes, which is why they also remove the scent to the dog’s nose.

   You might have to apply, rub with paper towel, reapply the next day…for three or four days, but it will remove the stain.

   What’s the NAME of the medication you gave her???

   Medications are chemicals. If you clean one chemical with another (even ‘natural’ ones), you can have an undesirable reaction. Do not use anything until you’re sure that won’t happen.

   ETA: If you gave your dog one of your OWN human medications (which you did), your biggest concern right now is not the yellow stain on your carpet….it’s the potential adverse effects of YOUR medication (at God only knows what dose you gave) on your dog. I’d say that if you permanently stained your carpet, you got what you deserved. (Not to mention the fact that your dog’s original problem STILL needs to be appropriately treated. Urinary pain usually indicates a UTI, crystals, or stones in dogs.)

   ETA again: I apologize…in my total disgust for your concern over your carpet, I realize that I probably failed to emphasize that depending upon your dog’s weight and the dosage you gave her, you might have just lethally poisoned her. That drug is known to cause several toxic reactions in dogs, including (but not limited to) methemoglobinemia, Heinz body anemia, renal failure, and liver failure. Please call your closest veterinary emergency clinic before it gets to that point. Tell them your dog’s weight, the dosage given, and the exact time(s) given. If caught early enough, treatment can be successful. Your carpet can wait (it will have to have that square replaced)….but your dog can’t.

   ETA#3: Do people not read??? This is not a URINE-stained carpet, it is now a DYE-stained carpet, from a chemical in the drug that was given to the dog and then passed through her urine and into the carpet. On almost all fabrics, it is permanent. Pharmacists issue written warnings when filling this prescription that that’s the case, even though humans don’t generally go around ********* on the carpet. It’s a human drug (the owner’s own prescription) that was never intended to be given to a dog, who ******** on the carpet because she (probably) has an undiagnosed and untreated urinary tract infection. That’s now the least of her problems, however. This dog could DIE as a result of having been given this human medication, which was not able to have benefited her in any way in the first place.

   Try brushing in Resolve tough stain carpet cleaner. You may have to treat it a few times or more. Bleach if too strong can leave a yellow stain that is like a burn and it doesn’t come out with anything that I know of.

   Bleach is a big no no, it will eat the carpet and yellow it. Keep trying the H2O2, it may take a couple of treatments. Don’t use any type of heat on the area, it will set the stain.

   my dog who never goes to the bathroom in the house started to and it smelled BAD. not like normal urine. the vet tested her urine and found she had a bladder or urinary tract infection and gave her antibiodics. she seems to be fine now. i tried cleaning the urine spots in the house too but it still smelled BAD. i researched online and found that many recommended Natures Miracle, so i bought a BIG bottle (i think it was a gallon and a half) and i poured it directly on the spots and drenched them down to the floor like it said to in the directions. i left it like that w/o drying it up. im glad someone wrote that the smell will get WORSE over 2 weeks while the enzymes are doing their magic, because it SURE DOES!!!! PU! but now, finally, things r back to normal. ill tell ya, it didnt seem like they ever would be, so try natures miracle if you can and wait it out! good luck to you and your doggie

    try using viniger. It stinks but it should get out the stain. But test treat your carpet. Also hydogen peroxide can work too.

    I use Spot Shot to get rid of urine stains and then go over a second time with a mix of 1/2 white vinegar to 1/2 water to neutralize the odor.
