I was diagnosed with fibromyalagia after a car accident. Any pain management suggestions?

I’m trying to determine alternative pain management ideas that are not to expensive. Pain goes from mild aching to acute stabbing and piercing jolts of pain effecting me from both my feet, ankles, knees, elbows, ribs, upper back and neck and wrists this typically prevents me from performing routine daily activties. I am on meds for pain managment but hope to integrate techniques or treatment to help reduce the pain I deal with?

medicinal marijuana.
My aunt who has fibro uses it. It takes the edge off.
My mother-in-law uses morphine but even that only takes the edge off. All you can do is take the edge off of the pain.
I’m sorry that you have this disease/disorder and I hope that a cure is in the making.
Make sure to check out sites on the internet and join groups in your local area.

i have fibromyalgia and it was hell trying to get help. There are still those docs that don’t believe in it (because there really isn’t a test for it) lol. I swear. Well Neurontin and long acting Morphine has helped tremendously. Any regular exercise you can tolerate helps also. That can be difficult. Water aerobics, swimming, a stationary bicycle. Try something you can tolerate.Cymbalta (an anti-depressant) has shown very good results for chronic pain sufferers. Don’t give up . *** also helps me with prolonging pain relief. Good luck and I hope this helped.
