What causes that pain in the side that feels like there is a bubble between my ribs?

pain
Wo asked:

I know other people get this pain to sometimes - I just wanted to know what causes it. It doesn’t last long, maybe an hour at the most and only happens every few months or so. It feels exactly like a bubble is expanding in the ribs (in the side, not the front chest area ). I had the feeling in my right side after drinking a diet pepsi today and I thought I would ask. My mom always called them “growing pains” when I was a kid. What are they and why does it happen?

Please don’t answer if you don’t know what I am talking about.
Would you feel gas all the way up in your ribcage? But now that you say that, it seems SO obvious that’s what it would be. I’m not really as dumb as my question made me sound, I swear.

Any other ideas?

    Sounds like gas.

Gas. Your intestines are “expanding” due to drinking carbonated beverages. There are also foods such as dairy, broccoli etc. which can cause this.

    Gas.

    FYI:

People have lost weight successfully due to drinking plain filtered water, which is a secret that the diet industry does not want you to know.
