    take an advil whatever usually works for you. and get some ambusal (sp?)-this will numb the gums and inside your cheeks and lips (where the braces brush against and cause raw skin)
    also, you can get clear wax in the dental section to place on the braces to stop them from rubbing.

    Braces shouldn’t hurt. The Ortho is a ******.

    The quick movement of the teeth will cause bone erosion in the jaw by leaving pockets…which will cause problems later in life…

    Ambesol is the OTC LEGAL Drug for the pain…..

    i remember when i got my braces…..i couldnt chew food like for 5 days!!…i took advil, and that didnt work, so i just suffered……i had to eat liquids!!…..

    Aleve or Advil can both be purchased over the counter. Some Orajel rubbed on the area may also provide some temporary relief.
