Why won’t pain management doctors take on patients who are dissatisfied with their current pain management?

Because “Doctor shopping” is so prevalent, most Doctors are afraid to take on a patient already under treatment, even if the treatment is not managing your pain. It’s a shame everyone gets treated like an addict because of the knuckleheads, but my wife went through this years ago.
